- Consequence:
- If the fuel pump fails, the vehicle may stall without warning, increasing the risk of a crash.
- Remedy:
- BMW will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuel pump, free of charge. Owners were mailed interim notices on May 28, 2015. The recall began on July 6, 2015. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417.
