THE LAST TIME IT HAPPENED I WAS SITTING IN A PARKING LOT WAITING FOR A TOW FOR SEVEN HOURS WHEN I FINALLY CALLED MY SON TO PICK UP HIS CHILDREN AND I HAD TO STAY ANOTHER FOUR HOURS ON MARCH 15, 2020. FINALLY GOT IT TOWED TO HIS HOUSE WHERE IT STILL SITS AS EVERYONE OF YOUR DEALERSHIPS HAVE REASONS FOR WHY THEY DO NOT FIX CARS OVER TEN YEARS OLD. THE VEHICLE WAS TEST DRIVEN HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO PROVIDE A CAUSE FOR THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE CONTACT REPLACED THE BATTERY, BUT IT WAS NOT THE CAUSE OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE FUEL PUMP GROUND WIRES MAY BE DEFECTIVE, WHICH COULD HAVE PREVENTED THE VEHICLE FROM STARTING. 1ST ISSUE IS THE SEAT BELT BUCKLES ARE ALMOST IMPOSSIBLE TO DISENGAGE. THEY HANG UP SO BAD OUR 10 YR OLD GRAND DAUGHTER NEEDS HELP TO REMOVE THE BELT. THE BELT FOR THE DRIVER HAS SAME ISSUE TO WHERE IT IS EVEN DIFFICULT FOR AN ADULT TO GET IT TO UNLATCH. 2ND ISSUE IS THE TRANSMISSION SLIPS WHEN SHIFTING FROM 2ND TO 3RD WHEN COLD. WHEN IT HAS BEEN DRIVEN FOR A FEW MILES IT SHIFTS NORMAL. THIS APPEARS TO BE A PROBLEM A LOT OF JEEP OWNERS HAVE. IT IS A NOTED PROBLEM IN OTHER CHRYSLER VEHICLES WITH THE 42RE TRANSMISSION. THIS ISSUE SHOULD BE ADDRESSED SINCE IT IS SO WIDE SPREAD.

AT APPROXIMATELY 137,000 MILES, THE DRIVER'S SEAT FRAME SNAPPED AT TWO POINTS, CAUSING THE SEAT TO ROCK FROM SIDE TO SIDE WHEN ENTERING/EXITING AND WHEN MAKING SHARP TURNS. SINCE IT IS NOT ATTACHED TO THE FRAME AT THAT POINT, IT WILL NOT PASS INSPECTION. I WAS IN MOTION ON A BUSY CITY STREET ON THE WAY TO SCHOOL WHEN THE SEAT GAVE WAY AND STARTED MOVING.
